CINEMA PREMIERE "OLD NIS -MY NIS"

Documentary film "Old Nis - My Niš," which was shown at this year's Film Festival, had its premiere in Nis cinema `Kupina`. Visitors of this film screenings, filmmakers - Ivana and Miroljub Ricki Nedović and producer of the film, Oliver Paunovic, at the opening were greeted by Boban Džunić, president of Palilula Municipality.

"The preservation of historical and cultural heritage of Serbian people is our task. In this story, resulting in the production of City Marketing Center, is a contribution to our efforts to save them from oblivion. Thanks to the works of Stevan Sremac this period of civil Nis and development of our Palilula has been preserved. Unfortunately, there is little about it recorded on film. The filmmakers, Ivana and Riki Nedović, producer of this film, as well as many protagonists of the film, are just actually Palilula residents. And Palilula is a part of the city, where long been cherishing the spirit of the old market square, but also one noble and bohemian Nis. One manifestation of the culture, you cherish every year on the day of '' St. Emperor Constantine and Empress Helena 'and we gladly organize is' 'Palilula Night'. This traditional gathering and socializing of our citizens, with the spiritual, traditional music and Nis called `merak`-good times and mood, is an event to remember. Let also this motion picture has the mission, said the president Džunić.

According to Miroljub Nedović director of the film, a documentary film "Old Nis - my Niš" is the story of tradition, culture, education and history of our city in the period from 1878 to 1911. "I wanted the film to be" a reminder to the citizens of Nis, a manual for those who are not, "Acting and Nedović couple, Ivana and Riki, as the narrators of the film, lead us to the sounds of the old as well as modern music and memories of famous and successful citizens of Nis, through A number of areas of social life in Nis that time. "Old Nis- my Nis" brought together about 50 participants from various professions, age groups, known and less known. "I am grateful to all the contributors to the film because they accepted to participate in this story, says Miroljub Nedović at the premiere.

Visitors to the premiere of the documentary film "Old Nis- my Nis," "City Marketing Center" donated a copy of the DVD release of the film. This film release will be provided in the Tourist Organization of Nis and the all important tourist sites in the city. Oliver Paunovic, director of "City Marketing Center" announced that they are intensively working on new film projects.
